Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $100,000 - $110,000.
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.

Role Description
As a Senior Data Analyst of Strategy, K12 & Early Career at Pearson, you will play a critical role in building and shaping the analytics function that supports Pearson’s K12 and Early Career business units. In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute data-driven insights: Use advanced data analysis techniques to support strategic planning and decision-making for K12 and Early Career initiatives. Identify trends, analyze market dynamics, and provide data-backed recommendations to drive growth and competitive advantage.
- Master K12 and Early Career datasets: Become an expert in both publicly available data and vendor-provided datasets to inform key business decisions. You will leverage data to support product development, sales strategy, forecasting, and more.
- Create and refine reporting tools: Develop reporting mechanisms to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of strategic initiatives. Design dashboards and reports that provide business leaders with actionable insights.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis: Provide on-demand analytical support to business partners, answering questions as they arise and identifying new areas for analysis that can impact strategy and operations.
- Build analytics processes: Contribute to the development of the overall analytics infrastructure for the K12 and Early Career sectors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design processes that enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Present insights and recommendations: Communicate findings clearly and effectively through presentations and written reports. Regularly engage with senior leadership to provide insights that shape business strategy.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams: Work closely with leaders in K12, Early Career, sales, and product development to address emerging business needs and provide custom solutions.
Technical Proficiency:
- Python Expertise: Proficient in Python, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Matplotlib, and Seaborn for data analysis and modeling.
- SQL & Data Manipulation: Strong experience with SQL for querying and processing large datasets.
- Excel Mastery: Advanced skills in Excel for data processing, modeling, and visualization.
- Data Visualization: Proficient in PowerPoint , with an emphasis on creating visually compelling presentations. Familiarity with Tableau or similar visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong ability to analyze large datasets, identify meaningful patterns, and translate findings into actionable business insights .
- A proactive problem solver who thinks beyond standard analysis, identifies new opportunities, and develops creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Comfortable generating and driving new initiatives , exploring innovative approaches, and shaping data-driven strategies.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and written communication.
- Self-driven, with the ability to independently lead analytics projects , proactively identify areas for deeper analysis, and deliver high-quality results.
- Prior experience in data analysis is beneficial, but we welcome candidates at various career stages who demonstrate strong technical skills and a passion for learning.
