The Team
We are looking for a Senior Web Developer to join our Evaluation Systems team to help design and deploy educator workforce solutions, so every learner has capable educators. The Senior Web Developer supports the development and publication of content in a variety of web-based formats, including HTML, XML, and PDF. This individual works in the Content Publishing team and is part of a team of writers, production editors, and graphic designers who develop high-quality, professional materials for our state and national programs.
This role will be remote within the contiguous US.

Primary Responsibilities
- Builds, designs, and maintains websites and website content by coordinating with copywriters and designers.
- Executes assignments with the use of web applications, frameworks, scripts, and programming languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and APIs.
- Works with a high degree of independence and creativity to edit and format new and existing digital materials including preparation materials, practice tests, faculty resources, and procedure manuals. Maintains high design/production quality, ensuring that content format is consistent.
- Evaluates current publishing processes and makes recommendations for improvements especially with regard to implementation of digital workflow.
- Manages/performs day-to-day website maintenance. Creates new websites/page as needed in conformance with existing design models.
- Stays abreast of emerging technologies/industry trends as it relates to web design/user interface and electronic publications and applies appropriate to current operations and activities.
- Develops procedural and training documentation for others in the department. Standardizes publishing procedures for the department.
- Experience with Angular (must have) in a commercial production environment, Node.js and a package manager (NPM, Yarn, etc.), TypeScript, front-end libraries (Bootstrap, Material, etc.), Git, and Azure.
- Proficient in web publishing technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/ES6.
- Two to three years of proven experience in web publishing using state-of-the-state technologies, Angular in particular.
- Understanding of web standards and web browser capabilities and ability to create cross-browser compliant publications. Knowledge of 508 compliance and ADA accessibility standards and tools for both Web and publications a plus.
- Ability to learn new electronic publishing technologies such as eLearning tools or multi-media software for web-based video output.
- Self-motivated, creative problem solver, attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues and errors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Diligent work habits and ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
