- As a Front Counter Agent for a small engine repair shop, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and assisting with parts selection, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of small engine equipment and repair processes (preferred). 2 Stroke and 4 Stroke engines.
- Proficiency in computer software and point-of-sale systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service or retail environments (preferred).
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Listen to customer inquiries and concerns regarding small engine equipment.
- Provide accurate information about services, parts, and pricing.
- Address customer questions and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even under pressure.
- Be able to order parts for the Mechanic team.
- Scheduling and Appointment Management:
- Schedule appointments for repairs and maintenance services.
- Manage the appointment calendar and ensure efficient scheduling.
- Confirm appointments with customers and provide reminders.
- Parts and Inventory:
- Assist Mechanic team in selecting necessary parts for their equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of available parts and inventory levels.
- Process orders for parts and supplies.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory and sales.
- Financial Transactions:
- Process payments for services and parts.
- Issue receipts and invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Communication and Record Keeping:
- Communicate effectively with mechanics to relay customer needs and expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and repair orders.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Other Duties:
- Keep the front counter area clean and organized.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
