Overview
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. You will be responsible for implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and have experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
- Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation.
- Supervise students during class and other school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communicate with school staff regarding student needs and classroom dynamics.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues or concerns to school administration.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs is highly desirable.
- Background in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Ability to implement effective behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children or in early childhood settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
