General Cashier (Full Time)

The General Cashier posts and balances daily cash revenue from all departments and prepare daily deposit of hotel revenue.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Issue, audit and return receipts for all house banks.
• Prepare daily deposit of hotel revenue.
• Balance daily cash receipts, including payments to accounts receivable, advance deposits and gift certificates.
• Submit adjustments of department cash revenue to night audit.
• Balance department revenues to cash reconciliation report.
• Process “due back” reimbursements to cashiers.
• Distribute foreign currency rate sheet and process foreign currencies for exchange.
• Prepare month end cash reconciliation report on spreadsheet.
• Keep records of house bank safety deposit boxes, money bags and their respective keys.
• Process group paid outs.
• Data entry of emblems and passes.
• Provide assistance to Accounts Receivable regarding indexing.
• Serve as special event cashier, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills: 

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Basic understanding of accounting and good computation skills.
• Ability to operate 10-Key Adding Machine at a rapid pace.
• Must be able to work under pressure in an accurate, organized and efficient manner.
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines.

Desired Skills:

• Previous administrative skills preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of cashier experience at a hotel, resort or bank preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with some college level accounting class preferred.
