What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Inventory Control Coordinator (Full Time) position at PEBBLE BEACH CO?
The Retail Inventory Control Coordinator is an integral role for the Retail Division, ensuring accuracy of inventory data. The goal is to improve the company’s inventory documentation and tracking for consistent data integrity. This position will require a resourceful individual with tenacious attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask and practice effective time management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Audit of inventory management system data and physical inventory counts to ensure data matches.
- Research, manage, and correct discrepancies between reported inventory to physical counted inventory.
- Process all merchandise requisitions and transfers.
- Assist Buying office and Retail Shops with inventory stock balancing.
- Verify Retail Shops and Retail Warehouse inventory data by managing monthly cycle counts and assisting in physical inventories.
- Complete weekly discount process in POS system to allow system to apply discounts to new SKUs created.
- Run weekly report of all negative inventory and research, manage, and correct all discrepancies.
- Run monthly report of all orders still in checking in process and research and manage all pending orders to ensure they are being handled correctly and efficiently.
- Assist with the department’s involvement in the AT&T Pro-Am and Concours d’Elegance, and other company hosted Special Events.
- Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Absolutely Required Skills:
- 2 years in Retail experience.
- Strong computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and external customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effectively complete deadlines.
Desired Skills:
- Retail Inventory Management System experience preferred.
- Inventory Cycle counting experience preferred.
- Analytical skills.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with some college level accounting preferred.
