Job Summary
The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations within our establishment. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a keen understanding of food production and inventory control. The Banquet Manager will ensure that events run smoothly, from initial planning to execution, while maintaining high standards of service and quality.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all banquet events, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Supervise banquet staff, providing training and guidance to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to oversee food production and presentation for events.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring supplies and placing orders as necessary.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing event orders and processing payments efficiently.
- Foster a positive environment by providing outstanding customer service to guests and clients.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring processes for banquet staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the banquet area.
- Address any guest concerns or issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with food production processes and inventory management practices.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Knowledge of hotel operations is a plus but not mandatory.
