POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: ROADS AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKERS
CLASSIFICATION: Nonexempt

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, the Roads and Grounds Worker performs a variety of manual labor tasks associated with the maintenance of roads, grounds, and drainage.
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and repairs roadways
- Sets up and picks up barricades, lane cones, and warning signs to channel traffic around work crews
- Rakes and tamps asphalt and spreads aggregate on street repair projects
- Operates jackhammers and pneumatic compacting equipment
- Operates a dump truck, asphalt paving truck and trailer, and asphalt roller
- Operates and maintains a crack seal kettle and emulsion spray wand
- Keeps drainage ditches beside roadways clear of debris
- Utilizes labor equipment such as shovels, posthole diggers, racks, etc.
- Mows grass in all parks, airpark, common areas, and other areas directed by management
- Maintains equipment in good working order
- Provides labor at the collection station
- Maintains equestrian area
- Responsible for the removal of dead animals from common areas
- Repairs facility building
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- No requirements but High School Diploma or GED preferred
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
- Valid Texas DL
- Knowledge of the safe operation of commercial lawn mowers and weed eater operation
- Heavy equipment and road maintenance vehicle operations

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Less than 1-year experience in related fields
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
