DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under the supervision of the HR Director, performs human-resources administration functions such as employment processing, maintenance of personnel records (filing) and reviewing/processing requests for personnel actions. Responsible for administering employee benefits, posting job vacancies and enforcement of personnel policies and procedures. Acts as recruiter, hosts and attends job fairs. Expedites hiring through efficient scheduling of pre-employment screening, post-selection references/verifications and background checks. Verify licensure for initial employee credentialing. Conducts new hire orientations, enters new hire information into the database and ensures that all personnel and leave records follow all applicable laws and regulations. Assists tracking employee evaluations. Assists with FMLA and Workers Comp processing, wage increases, and completing employee transfer paperwork. Promotes a positive image of the organization within the community through presentations, social media, radio, and print media. Creates employee engagement activities. Plans and organizes employee events. Gathers and presents employee recognition data for selection. Orders and maintains inventory of organizational swag. Participates in various audit processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management or related field preferred. HR certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience related to the position.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
A valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record is required along with a copy of a valid auto insurance card.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Mainly an office position, however, must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 25 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead.
