Job Summary :
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) assists the Project Manager II in overseeing and managing Precast projects. The APM supports the PM II in ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. The APM helps coordinate internal project teams and communicates with external stakeholders such as Owner’s representatives, Architects, Engineers, General Contractor’s PM and Superintendent, Subcontractors, and other assigned team members.
Essential Functions :
- Protect family and friends. Ensure compliance with Company Safety Policies, OSHA regulations, and proper use of PPE.
- Loyalty. Communicate and uphold the company’s vision, values, and goals to reinforce its mission and reputation as a leader in the Precast Concrete industry.
- Safety always wins. Support and promote project safety initiatives and standards under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Committed to serve. Assist in reviewing and preparing contract documents, including scopes, specifications, and subcontractor agreements.
- Determined. Help analyze bid documents and construction drawings to ensure the project aligns with the initial scope and goals.
- Respect and engage. Collaborate with design, plant, and shipping teams to assist in the development and execution of both macro and micro schedules.
- Mastery. Assist with or manage project submittals, material deliveries, punch lists, certifications, inspections, and change orders.
- Results matter. Maintain updated project records, logs, and files to ensure accurate documentation and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Obligated. Assist with coordinating material purchasing, scheduling, and logistics for specialty production and delivery.
- Measurement. Help monitor project financials using job cost reports to quickly identify and address variances, under the guidance of the Project Manager II.
- Communicate. Provide timely updates to management and assist with the approval of project-specific invoices.
Requirements, Education and Experience :
1. 3 years of relevant construction experience, preferred.
2. Engineering or Construction Management degree, preferred.
3. Experience with Solidworks, preferred.
4. Strong customer service, inter-personal, and decision-making skills, required.
5. Organizational and documentation skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments, required.
6. Ability to meet established deadlines.
7. Strong customer service skills.
8. Proficient verbal and written English.
9. Legal right to work in the U.S.
10. Reliable transportation is required. Travel to project sites within 4 hours of plant location (Boston, MA, Metro NY & NJ areas). Overnight stays or longer may be required at times.

Work Environment / Physical Demands :
This is mostly sedentary outside of traveling to construction sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. On occasion the job will require going out in the field and various organizations. This would require the ability to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bend or stand as necessary.
