The Fleet Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements. Additionally, the successful candidate will conduct thorough inspections to identify potential mechanical issues and develop strategies to prevent breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential mechanical issues
- Develop strategies to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in diesel mechanics, automotive repair, or related fields preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic working with a fleet of trucks and trailers, preferred
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
