Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Superintendent to oversee the execution of milling and paving projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversight and supervision of interstate projects, typically conducted at night
- Supervise field employees, order materials, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with customers and sales personnel to complete projects according to our commitment to production, quality, and safety
- Determine project-specific staffing and equipment requirements, and coordinate with Dispatch
- Order construction materials (liquid calcium chloride, Portland cement, liquid asphalt, etc.)
- Clearly assign daily tasks to field employees and supervise their progress
- Engage with Quality Control staff as needed to ensure work product is in accordance with specifications
- Conduct site safety meetings with field personnel
- Engage with customers' representatives and inspectors to execute a project that is mutually satisfactory
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of construction operations and specifications
Additional Information:
This position requires some out-of-state and overnight travel. It will also require significant portions of the season to be worked at night on the interstate.
