Shop Mechanic (Req #: 1036)

The Shop Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and functionality of a fleet of trucks and trailers.

Essential Functions:

1. Focused. Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of company vehicles and trailers.
2. Protect family and friends Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
3. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
4. Results matter Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities.
5. Respect and engage Collaborate with operators and other team members to identify recurring issues and propose solutions to improve performance.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in diesel mechanics, automotive repair, or related fields preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic working with a fleet of trucks and trailers, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
