Job Summary:
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate coordination of both international and domestic shipments at our state-of-the-art Li-ion battery facility in DeSoto, KS. In this role, you will verify shipping documents, collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor key shipment milestones, and manage essential import/export documentation. You’ll also support parts returns, track invoices, and perform analyses on logistics KPIs to help drive efficient supply chain operations. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining a seamless supply chain environment that supports our mission of innovation in sustainable energy solutions.
Essential Duties:
Coordinate and track international and domestic shipping timely and accurately. Ensure accuracy of orders and shipping documents. Collaborate with cross organizational teams to monitor key milestones of each shipment. Work with origin team to obtain essential importing documents such as BOL, packing list, and ISF. Work with cross organizational teams to coordinate parts return to original export countries. Support customers to coordinate product returns. Obtain dangerous goods certification (49-CFR/IATA/IMDG) for batteries. Coordinate interplants transfers. Provide inbound volume visibility for Operation team. Track bills and invoices to ensure accuracy of submittals. Perform analysis for Logistics KPIs. Respond and follow up with all inquiries (written and verbal) for vendors and customers related to Logistics moves. Other tasks as assigned.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred:
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in Logistics field.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Logistics or Supply Chain experience
- Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
- Experience of inventory return
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Demonstrated communication, presentation and writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in particular)
- Attention to detail
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EV battery manufacturing Experience with SAP/ Yard management system such as Open Dock
Preferred Certification(s): DOT and IATA
