Position Summary: The Metrology Supervisor will work together with the Operations, Engineering and Maintenance in maintaining measuring equipment and gauges in the manufacturing processes and resolving any nonconforming conditions.
Essential Duties:
- Supervise a team of quality calibration technicians.
- Assign and monitor daily calibration tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Develop and manage the calibration schedule for all measuring equipment.
- Ensure all equipment complies with industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025 or NIST traceability)
- Maintain and update calibration records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all calibration activities align with internal quality standards and external regulations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and support.
- Investigate and resolve nonconformance issues related to metrology.
- Monitor the performance and condition of all M&TE, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Evaluate and source new calibration tools and software as necessary.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in calibration activities.
- Maintain comprehensive records of calibration procedures, certificates, and test results.
- Generate and maintain Key Performance Indicators for calibration performance.
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialized calibration needs.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education
- Required: High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or a minimum of 2 years of quality, production, or manufacturing experience.
- Preferred: Associate degree in technical or business field.
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in calibration or metrology.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS).
- Familiarity with metrology standards (ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, NIST).
- Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s production processes.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven agility in all levels of work processes.
- Intuitive, adaptable, creative, and collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative nature with strong team building skills and willing to learn from and accept guidance from others.
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Certification(s):
- ASQ Certification (ASQ Certified Calibration Technician)
