The Broiler Service Technician serves as the primary liaison between the Company and contract growers in order to manage flock health and productivity.
Description:
- Coordinate all training, planning, monitoring, and scheduling of daily operations to achieve production goals.
- Maintain close communication with the Processing Plant, Live haul, Hatchery, and Feed mill operations as they relate to Broiler Production.
- Responsible for Animal Welfare training and compliance for their allotted growers.
- Direct supervisory responsibility of approximately fifteen to twenty contract farms holding a total of over one-million-five-hundred–thousand head of birds.
- Serve as the direct liaison between the company and their allotted growers.
- Responsible for devising, implementing, and verifying proper compliance to company policies and procedures.
- Responsible with evaluating and troubleshooting performance issues and problems on individual farms as a means to improve company and grower profit.
- Comply with all written corporate and live operation policies.
- Perform various tasks as assigned by the Broiler Manager and the Live Operations Manager.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting/standing/driving 100% of the workday.
- Working in an outdoor environment.
- Lifting various weights on an as needed basis.
