HACCP COORDINATOR

General Responsibility:

This position will help train quality assurance employees with the help of supervisors in all aspects of HACCP, SSOP’s, and all regulatory paperwork.  Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.  Looks for improvement opportunities within the department and facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train Quality Assurance Team Members.
• Verify daily paperwork in the department.
• Works with USDA and shipping to provide all paperwork required fo the export of product.
• Comply with all written corporate and plant policies.
• Be familiar with the various types of machinery throughout the processing plant.
• Have a strong working knowledge and understanding of HACCP, SSOP, etc.
• Reviews the necessary reports and forms to comply with all government regulations and company policies.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
• Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
  • Natural occurring defects would be not limited to: deformity, bruising in excess, infection, discoloration, abscess
  • Processing defects would be but not limited to foreign material and out of spec product.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.                                                                                     

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills.
