What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Clerk position at Peco Foods?
Evening Shift Position Sunday -Thursday 8pm-4:30 am. Provide clerical support to Human Resources department and maintain HR records for all shift employees; interface with plant employees on HR-related issues.
Take applications.
- Schedule applicants for pre-employment drug screens.
- Assist new hires with the completion of new hire paperwork.
- Set up and maintain files on employees.
- Assists with the I-9 process.
- Maintains attendance records daily.
- Documents LOAs daily.
- Assist employees with personal information changes such as W-4s, addresses, etc.
- Answer telephone and record absentee call-ins and notify supervisors.
- Take pictures for ID cards.
- Should have a good working relationship with supervisors.
- Pulls terminated files.
- Prepares and updates information on bulletin boards throughout the facility for communication purposes.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Being bilingual is a plus but not required.
Receives general supervision from Complex Human Resource Manager, handles most routine and non-routine situations independently.
Must be able to deal with people to maintain good employee relations. Previous HR and clerical (typing, filing, computer skills, including Word and Excel) experience helpful.
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, some college or HR/labor relations seminars.
