What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor - Evening Shift position at Peco Foods?
- Direct supervision for assigned line production staff (approximately 50-90).
- Verify daily & weekly payroll time sheets for all team members in the department as assigned.
- Responsible for daily & weekly paperwork such as but not limited to: attendance; vacation requests; disciplinary actions; yield & production reporting.
- Be familiar with the various types of machinery & processes in the assigned department.
- Ensure that all product produced is of the highest level & standard of quality. Physically inspect products for both natural occurring & processing defects.
- Effectively communicate with team members, fellow supervisors, & managers.
- Proactively seek the opportunity to help fellow team members, as well as opportunities to improve processes.
- Know & comply with all written Corporate safety & plant policies.
- Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene & cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
- Follow the written specification for packaging & labeling of products.
- Identify & report any suspicious situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official. Abnormal situations would be:
- Product tampering
- Willful product adulteration
- Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
- Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring
- Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1-3 years leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory role in the poultry industry.
- Ability to multi-task & set priorities.

- Be dependable.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate successful supervisory skills, writing skills, creative & effective problem-solving skills, & basic knowledge of computers & related software.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand & walk for long periods of time.
- Standing/sitting/walking 100% of the workday.
- Lifting various weights on an as needed basis.
- Repetitive use of hands
- Must be able to bend, stoop, & climb steps.
- Must be comfortable working in organic conditions.
