Production Supervisor - Pocahontas - Further Processing

Peco Foods is searching for Production Supervisors in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

Further Processing Breading - Thursday to Saturday (1 position - days)

Summary Description:

1. Direct supervisor of assigned line production staff (approximately 20-65).
2. Verify daily & weekly payroll timecards for all employees in the department as assigned.
3. Responsible for daily and weekly paperwork such as but not limited to attendance; vacation requests; disciplinary action; and yield & production reporting.
4. Be familiar with the various types of machinery, metrics, and goals in the assigned Department.
5. Ensure that all product produced is of the highest level and standard of quality. Physically inspect products for both naturally occurring and processing defects.
6. Comply with all written corporate safety and plant policies.
7. Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
8. Follow the written specifications for packaging and labeling of products.
9. Identify and report any suspicious situations to the immediate supervisor or plant management official.
   • The abnormal situation would be:
     • Product tampering
     • Willful product adulteration
     • Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
     • A situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring
     • Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake

Physical/Mental Requirements:

1. Working in a warm/wet/damp environment and a normal room temperature environment.
2. Standing/sitting/walking 100% of the workday.
3. Lifting various weights on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:

1. 1-3 years of leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory role in the poultry industry.
2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
3. Able to multi-task and prioritize.
4. Must demonstrate successful supervisory skills, writing skills, creative & effective problem-solving skills, and basic knowledge of computers & related software.
5. Experience in a fast-paced environment.
