What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Account Manager position at Peco Pallet?
Position Summary:
Develop efficient pallet recovery programs thru lean management process with pallet recyclers and NPD accounts in the territory. The Associate Account Manager will work to establish relationships with Recyclers to assist in pallet returns from Participating and Non-Participating Distributors (NPD’s). Position requires travel, negotiations, accountability, and collaboration both externally and internally.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain efficient relationships with recyclers and NPD within assigned region
- 60% travel on a monthly basis (every other week) within the account base
- Returns Management using data analytics with monthly metrics to ensure accurate pallet flows
- Relationship Management used to solve recycler invoicing, cube improvement, poor behaviors etc.
- Inventory Management of assets thru the recycler/NPD networks
- Ensure customer satisfaction by effectively managing expectations thru customer compliance
- Collaborate with Logistics Coordinator team and cross functional teams to increase value to both customer and PECO focused on solutions
- Negotiate recovery rates and payment terms with recyclers
- Work with the Dedicated Fleet Team to provide specific local alternatives to reduce transportation and recovery costs.
- Manage recovery cost reductions within the territory
- Maintain monthly KPI report to management
- Develop working knowledge of internal systems including Red<>Link, Power BI and SharePoint
- Make decisions that align with the company’s goals, core mission, vision and values
- Problem Solving responsibilities to own the problem and use internal information to self-solve
- Timely entry into the CRM database
Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
- Previous experience working with pallet recyclers for asset retrieval.
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in business or related field.
- Minimum 3 years Supply Chain experience or field customer service.
- Takes initiative; Ability to work independently to drive results.
- Computer knowledge preferred including MS office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.)
- Commercial negotiations experience preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to properly influence internally and externally.
- Project Management experience including issues/problem resolutions.
- Organizational, communication, problem solving, analytical and time management skills.
- Must reside within region/territory assigned to the position
- Overnight travel outside region expected
