Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position is a single point of contact with the Bureau of Consumer Services (BCS) of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) and other regulatory agencies focusing on credit-related informal complaints, referred to as customer payment arrangement requests (PAR). Manage complaints through the PAR complaint process, including research and investigation, preparation of all required reports, and follow through of all related PUC decisions. Complete complaint scoring for justified status and follow up for corrective actions. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Respond to credit related informal complaints (PARs) on behalf of the company. This includes, but is not limited to, research of previous complaints, payment history, agreements, terminations, notice process, medical certificates and other credit related exceptions. Determine the company's position to the PUC. Responsible for updates or other questions the PUC may have regarding the case. Process PUC decisions on informal complaints and determine if the decision is acceptable, or if the company should appeal the PUC decision. (75%)
- Complete complaint scoring for determination that a customer was justified in contacting the commission based on the regulations and the rules established by Bureau of Consumer Services. Provide details to internal process owners including which section(s) of the regulations were violated or non-compliance with justified rules, date of occurrence and responsible employee. (20%)
- Manage and maintain a good working relationship with the Bureau of Consumer Services at the PUC and process owners in Customer Operations. Provide updates and respond to questions associated to internal processes and specific account activity. (5%)

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline AND 0 - 2 years relevant business experience, or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 - 6 years relevant business experience is required.
- Demonstrated basic proficiency in the LAN and mainframe systems, particularly the CIMS and PUC reporting database system.
- Customer driven with good oral and written communications skills and basic analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Basic knowledge of the regulations and company policies.
- Ability to analyze data and basic problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action.

- Demonstrated proficiency in PC software package such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
