Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
To ensure a high quality of work, provide appropriate reporting to supervisor and improve operational efficiency. Responsible to assist in the recovery of lost or delinquent revenue. Position involves but is not limited to managing the litigation recovery strategy amongst the residential and commercial customer segments. Position requires making appropriate decisions when applying recovery tactics and providing process support for all work performed through strategic sourcing. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform credit analysis on applications for service, which include Name Game/Protect the Front Door investigations, to support efforts to recover outstanding receivables while remaining compliant with all PA PUC regulations. Negotiate best settlement with Utility applicants to minimize active customer delinquency and bad debt expense.
- Understand all existing Utility Credit Policies for Residential, Commercial, PFA & CAP customers. This also may include support for credit contractor training, ongoing general support, and escalations.
- Collaborate and coordinate with vendor to meet production and quality standards and to provide suggestions to continuously improve Credit Back Office processes and Utility Customer Experience.
- Audit work processes to ensure timely, accurate and thorough processing of recovery strategies.
- Participate in special projects and tasks as assigned and approved by supervisor/management. This may include use of CDW for Credit Back Office quality reports and peer checks.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries and requests, including support for legal.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree with a minimum of 5 years business related experience or in lieu of degree 6 � 10 years business related experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of mainframe and PC software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, including detailed CIMS account analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate and execute a variety of activities in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and in a "Team" oriented environment.
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers from diverse environments.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of the Fair Credit Act and Pennsylvania Consumer Protection laws.
- Working knowledge of PUC chapter 14, 55, 56, 58 and 69th regulations.
- Demostrated experience navigating the 'Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)' system
