Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Golf Course Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will help maintain the beauty and playability of our golf course by performing a variety of tasks related to landscaping, turf care, and facility upkeep. The Groundskeeper will assist in maintaining golf course greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, and other areas while ensuring the overall quality of the course meets industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general groundskeeping duties, including mowing, edging, trimming, and raking bunkers.
- Assist in the maintenance and care of turf, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features on the course.
- Help with the preparation and setup of the course for daily play, including the placement of tee markers and flags.
- Clean and maintain maintenance equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Assist with bunker maintenance, including raking and ensuring proper sand levels.
- Help with course safety and cleanliness by picking up litter and debris.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and performing tasks.
- Work closely with the superintendent and other groundskeeping staff to achieve the overall maintenance goals for the golf course.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to operate basic groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).
- Physical labor, including lifting, bending, and walking long distances.
- Early morning or weekend work may be required, depending on the golf course’s schedule.
