Peddie Food Service seeks a Dishwasher for its full-service dining hall. Reporting to the Receiving Steward, the Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the Dish Room and all areas for cleanliness and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for washing pots, pans, dishes, glasses, etc., and the storage of wares
- Responsible for set-up and break-down of dish washing unit
- Responsible for sweeping and mopping of floors, walk-ins and storage rooms
- Fills milk and ice machines
- Assists in cleaning stock rooms
- Helps deliver Commissary orders
- Makes beverages and sets up pitchers needed for Family-Style dinners
- Helps the receiver to put away products
- Completes any assigned task given by Management Team
Requirements and Skills
- Must have basic language, reading, math and communication skills
- Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
