Job Summary:
Peddler's Son is seeking an individual who has food sales experience, to coordinate the activities of produce sales to insure satisfactory sales and profits for the company. Addressing the needs and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers as well. This includes assigned customers, as well as the accounts of other company salespersons.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Local travel is required
- Maintain a sound working knowledge of all markets and growing conditions
- Make presentations of profitable programs to potential and existing customers
- Notify and assist buyers, operations and sales support persons by communication of customer's needs and preferences
- Maintain effective, professional relationships with restaurant owners, retailers, vendors, and fellow employees
- Organize and aid with special sales and promotions
- Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operations and well-being of the company
- Responsible for individual accounts sales and gross profits
- Make sure all orders are submitted before the scheduled cut off times
- Responsible for processing and turning in credit memos, and other job related paperwork within the set time lines.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews with the Credit Department to ensure accounts are within terms.
- Maintain a profile on all accounts to include order guides, statements periodicals and overall reporting. Verify pricing information to ensure correctness.
- Attend Sales Meetings, Training Sessions, Food Shows, and Conferences as deemed necessary by Management and Customer requirements.
- Abide by all the safety-training guidelines and operate within SOP stated in the Peddler's Son Safety Manual.
Qualifications
- 1 years of work experience in food sales ( will consider 2 years experience as a chef)
- Must have thorough knowledge and expertise of produce commodities and be capable of providing expert consulting to current and potential customers
- Excellent interpersonal human relations emotional intelligence and teaming skills
- Accuracy with paperwork figures with high attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through
- The ability to work well independently and be self driven

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
