Description

The Corporate Account Specialist leads Peddler’s Sons’ efforts to maintain and expand relationships with large and or small, multi-location customers.  As a Corporate Account Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pricing operations. The Corporate Account Specialist is responsible for providing customer service, resolving customer inquiries, and overseeing account maintenance, and for maintaining and updating customer records. The Account Specialist is also responsible for identifying and resolving any discrepancies related to client accounts. They must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and be able to work independently and under pressure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with customer accounts through regular phone contact, e-mails, or the personal visits on a systematic basis.
  • Attend Sales Meetings, Training Sessions, Food Shows, and Conferences as deemed necessary by Management and Customer requirements.
  • Maintain a profile on all accounts to include order guides, statements periodicals and overall reporting. Verify pricing information to ensure correctness.
  • Weekdays/Weekends and early morning travel and holidays.
  • Local travel and telecommuting are required.
  • Update and maintain pricing information in company databases.
  • Verify pricing accuracy for product listings and promotions.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews with the Credit Department to ensure accounts are within terms.
  • Manage price changes and communicate updates to relevant departments.
  • Set-up and implementation of new customers/business.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Must be able to work Fridays – Tuesdays OR Thursdays – Mondays 
    • 40% Pricing Specialist / Office work
    • 40% Sales /weekly phones/Cold Calling/visit accounts
    • 20% Assistance to Sales Management Team/working with Sales Director and Manager

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Achieves assigned sales quota in designated corporate accounts.
  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability. 
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
  • Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent 3 years outside sales or equivalent experience in a rapidly changing dynamic environment required.
  • Excellent Customer Service and listening skills -Required.
  • Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines in high stressed environment – Required
  • Detail and follow through oriented - Required
  • Must have a clean driving record - and have a valid state driver’s license - Required
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook - Required
  • Previous sales experience a PLUS.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.  
  • Proven record of success with developing prospecting lists, cold calling, customer expansion and telephone sales required; technology sales required.
  • Demonstrated record of success communicating effectively via telephone and email with customers and successful track record of meeting and/or exceeding quota.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Internet.
  • Proficiency with CRM and opportunity management systems.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of inbound leads and deals with transactions simultaneously with strong pipeline management.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to "sell" over the phone.

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must occasionally life and or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
