Host / Hostess - Peddler Steakhouse

The Peddler Steakhouse is hiring several applicants for the host/hostess position. Your day will include:

• setting up the restaurant for service
• greeting and seating guests as they enter the restaurant
• answering phone calls
• cashiering
• cleaning
• various other responsibilities

Shifts start between 3:30pm and 5:30pm, and end between 8:00 and 9:45pm. We are only open for dinner, so evening shifts only. You will be expected to work weekends.

Very strong preference will be given to applicants who will be in town and available to work weekends in the fall (especially October).

Please let us know right away if you will be moving away from Boone before June 2023. This does not disqualify you, but does change our planning.

The Peddler Steakhouse has some of the highest earning servers in Boone, and they all started as hosts. We exclusively promote from within, so hosting is the first step towards earning a serving job at the Peddler! We look for hosts with a great work ethic, great attitude, and reasonable availability when it's time to train a server. There has never been a faster and clearer path towards serving at the Peddler.

• be punctual and responsible
• have reliable transportation
• be able to work weekends/holidays
• be able to interact well with guests
• be able to understand and conform to our dress code

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 36 per week
