Position Summary
This position is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to identify, implement and support automation initiatives
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, design and execute development of automation of testing and production processes for a variety of business software applications, enterprise, and complex billing systemsPlan, organize, and direct project activities including development of process automation and automated testingCreate test plans, data, procedures and manual and / or automated scripts for project and standard workIdentify opportunities for automation within software processesParticipate in reviews of business requirements and application designsEnsure proper test coverage exists based on requirements and design specificationsIdentify and recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and process automationRecommend improvements to existing automationTroubleshoot and correct issues when a scheduled automation script failsWrite and reproduce accurate automation script documentationCreate and maintain specification documents and standard operating procedures for new and existing automation.Define and implement automated testing and process improvements focused on time savings and accuracyDevelop and execute test automation for projectsEnsure test environments reflect business requirements for proof of concept and development of automationReview and report result of script executionsWork with the business to define regression testsDefine and coordinate production verification and validationAnalyze and report overall test status and resultsIdentify opportunities for continuous improvementCollaborate with teams to ensure proper knowledge sharingMaintain the status of project tasks and other direct assignmentsMaintain user / external group and vendor relationshipsMaintain the security of confidential informationStay abreast of advances in technologyDemonstrate regular and prompt attendancePerforms other related duties as necessary or assignedSupervisory and / or Leadership Responsibilities

Bachelor’s Degree in a related fieldDirectly related experience may substitute for educationThree years of directly related work experience, including two years of development and ERP / CRM experienceExperience with task automation, scripting in C# and SQL (Oracle and SQL Server), Ranorex and / or Bitbucket, working in an agile IT environment preferred.Prior electric utility experience preferredISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Certification preferredValid Texas Driver’s LicensePhysical Demands and Work Environment
