Position Summary
This position is responsible for the operation, installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment, furniture systems and machinery in support of the Cooperative’s strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure working order of mechanical equipment in Cooperative buildingsPerform maintenance and repair to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, life safety and control systemsPerform minor electrical repairs, i.e., lighting systems and 120 / 208 voltsEnsure all systems are performing at applicable standardsMonitor construction and other work being performed by outside contractors at company facilitiesPerform routine building and equipment repairsParticipate in the fire brigade responding to fire alarms and during fire drillsMaintain awareness of potential hazards and report them for corrective actionPerform routine duties such as oiling fan motors, changing light bulbs, repairing beds and changing air filters, etc. to ensure the smooth operation of all equipmentAssist with Cooperative meetings set upPerform day-to-day maintenance, repairs and execution of work order requestsProvide technical direction to other team membersAssist other maintenance personnel with complex work orders or when more than one technician is needed to complete a jobEvaluate the quality and pricing of maintenance and contracted workActively participate in the emergency response processAssist management in preparation of the annual budget and capital improvement projectsMaintain the security of confidential informationStay abreast of advances in technologyDemonstrate regular and prompt attendancePerforms other related duties as necessary or assignedSupervisory and / or Leadership Responsibilities
