Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing duties required in the operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Demonstrate mastery and continue duties of Apprentice 1, Apprentice 2 and Apprentice 3Construct and maintain overhead and underground electric lines and equipmentInspect existing primary and secondary power lines and substation equipmentCorrect and / or report problems and observed hazardsMaintain and operate vehicles and equipmentInvestigate trouble on lines and locate cause of power outagesMaintain and service, including cleaning and repairing, all tools and equipmentPerform rubber glove work on energized lines from aerial deviceWork on de-energized or grounded lines or equipment, both from the pole or an aerial deviceParticipate in and successfully complete scheduled trainingAssist in the training of othersDemonstrate diligence in learning and adhering to safety regulationsCollect delinquent accountsMust be available for Call-Out dutyMaintain the security of confidential informationStay abreast of advances in technologyDemonstrate regular and prompt attendancePerforms other related duties as necessary or assignedSupervisory and / or Leadership Responsibilities
