What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School-Based Occupational Therapist - OT position at PediaStaff?
New opportunity to work with an elementary and early childhood caseload that will offer variety near Hanover Park and Elgin, IL. We're seeking an Occupational Therapist full time for the remainder of the school year with an option to renew for years to come and ESY! As an Occupational Therapist in this school district, you will be working with kiddos who have various diagnoses, many with ASD related needs. Mentorship available. RIght now this is a leave opportunity that starts right after spring break.
- 5 days a week in person, 36 hours per week
- You'll cover a leave in elementary classes serving children with autism through the early spring and then transition to an early childhood program in Elgin for the remainder of the school year
- Some experience with autism and / or school based required, fieldwork counts
- Hours are generally 8 : 30 – 2 : 30
- We will also consider part-time applicants, minimum of 16 hours per week
- Clinical support and mentorship available
Qualifications : You will need to hold a Master's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same).
School experience preferred.
