Medical Assistant

Pediatric Medical Assistant CMA/RMA
Busy pediatric office located in Wilbraham and Belchertown looking for an experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and independent worker.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• Room patient, collect vital signs & record in electronic medical record system (EPIC)
• Review allergies, medications, and other patient information and reconcile with EMR
• Complete Orders once provider finishes with the patient
• Assist doctor as needed
• Complete forms as required
• Assistance with clinical exams and procedures
• Basic diagnostic and screening procedures, treatments, specimen collections, etc.
• Prepare rooms, stocking of rooms
• Other related clinical and administrative duties as assigned
• Clinical Skills include:
• Heights, Weights, blood pressures
• Immunization Administration
• Fingersticks, HGB, Glucose, Lead, Urine Dips, Urine pregnancy tests
• Glucometer checks, Spirometry, Hearing and vision screens

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant School Graduate, 1 year experience preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills required
• Registered/Certified Medical Assistant preferred, required within 3 months of employment
• Electronic Medical Record experience, EPIC preferred
• Strong Computer Skills
• Must be a self-starter/self-motivated
• Must be outgoing, positive and team oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.50 per hour
