What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration Provider position at Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine?
Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, an experienced, dedicated and family-focused pediatric practice, is seeking candidates for an opportunity in pediatric behavioral health integration. Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine is a Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's (PPOC) affiliated primary care practice with locations in Wilbraham and Belchertown MA.
The successful candidate will become an integrated member of our provider team. Working with our practice's family-centered medical home, the behavioral health provider will conduct clinical evaluations, deliver short-term, evidence-based, behavioral health interventions to patients and families, provide consultative support to medical clinicians and staff, and help support the medical home team in making referrals to community-based providers and services. Our clinicians enjoy collaboration with colleagues from PPOC-affiliated practices across the state via monthly meetings, PPOC training opportunities, case consultation, and ongoing learning initiatives.
A master's degree in social work or mental health counseling, or doctoral level in psychology is required. Candidates must be licensed for independent practice in Massachusetts (LMFT, LICSW, or LMHC). Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is strongly preferred. Experience in pediatric primary care, or other pediatric medical settings is preferred. Excellent diagnostic skills, flexible approach to work, and use of problem-focused, cognitive and behavioral interventions is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven record of collaborative service delivery, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ability to document within an electronic medical system, and the flexibility and adaptability required to work in a very busy medical practice.
Minimum 2-3 days working, with the option to expand hours in response to patient need. There is the potential option for a hybrid schedule of in-person and virtual visits. The candidate should have the flexibility to be able to work at both the Wilbraham and Belchertown locations. Consideration for office hours on the weekends if the candidate desires. This position requires a 90-day minimum credentialing process, therefore the expected start date would be 90 days or more after the offer is accepted.
