Job Title: Front Office Staff
Summary: Performs a number of duties, including greeting and scheduling patients, checking insurance eligibility, calling patients to remind them of appointments, answering and routing calls, making payment transactions, and keeping paperwork organized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs.
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
- Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and NP availability.
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
- Check Insurance Eligibility.
- Check in/out patient.
- Miscellaneous as requested.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or vocational / technical / general education degree; related work experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
