What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telephone Triage Pediatric Nurse position at Pediatric Associates Inc. of Brockton?
We are growing again and are seeking experienced pediatric RN’s and LPN’s for an amazing opportunity to join our telephone triage call center team. Responsibilities:
- The triage nurse will apply clinical knowledge and judgement and use decision making skills to analyze and act on patient care issues
- The triage nurse will be providing clinical support in determination of symptom acuity, namely whether symptoms warrant emergent care, urgent care or routine assessment.
- The triage nurse will offer information related to symptom management, patient education and care coordination
- While answering calls demonstrates ability to initiate appropriate nursing interventions in prompt, precise and a professional manner following our practice protocol
- Assists patients and family members with concern and empathy
- Create telephone encounters regarding triage and/or schedule an appointment to be seen by one of our providers utilizing Epic
- Manage Epic buckets responding to patient MyChart messages and requests in a timely fashion
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and medical EMR systems (Epic)
- Current State of Massachusetts RN or LPN license and current CPR certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
