The Patient Account Representative works under the direction of the Business Office Manager in our corporate offices in Bellevue, WA. Our account representatives must possess a positive and a patient attitude in this important role. This position performs business office job description in an exemplary fashion while maintaining a positive working relationships with staff, patients, managers, directors, and physicians.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Log into phone queue during phone hours and help answer parent billing inquiries
- Answer backline phone calls from the clinics and help provide consistent support internally
- Load/correct insurance information in Intergy and rebill accordingly
- Properly document each interaction and make sure to follow up when necessary
- Have billing manager, insurance auditors, or provider review charges that may need further clarification
- Send a task request to our Collections Coordinator when an account needs to be terminated or reinstated
- Take credit card payments over the phone
- Process parent refund requests
- Check insurance websites for eligibility dates and claims status
- Contact insurance companies when necessary
- Contact collections vendor to confirm patient balances
- Complete all assigned side work: Intergy Tasks, returned mail, processing credit card payments, MVA billing and Phreesia Alerts
- Complete the end of day checklist form
- Other responsibilities as assigned
