Job Summary:
The Receptionist position for Pediatric Associates of Dayton is responsible for providing efficient office support and excellent customer service. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them with warmth and professionalism, determining their needs, and directing them accordingly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote Pediatric Associates of Dayton in a positive manner
- Ensure patient satisfaction by patients, families, and visitors by greeting them in a warm and welcoming way
- Answer phones and schedule patient appointments
- Document patient communication in the patient chart as directed
- Fax, File, pull, and prep medical charts
- Receive payment, issue receipts, and balance out at the end of the day
- Perform the following functions on a rotational basis: check-in, check out, schedule and runner
- Ensure registration form is complete and up to date, updating patient accounts when needed
- Coordinate with Team Lead for scheduling front office equipment servicing
- Distribution of mail and courier deliveries, incoming faxes, and pull charts to attach any reports, results, or correspondence
- Perform other clerical administrative tasks as assigned
- Assist other personnel in times of high volume.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient privacy when verifying patient information
- Promote adherence to company policies and procedures
- Work well independently, and in a team environment
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with co-workers
- Dependable and on-time
- Must be able to travel to the other two (2) Pediatrics Associates of Dayton practice locations when needed (Beavercreek, OH and Kettering, OH)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare facility is preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record software preferred
- Must be customer-focused and possess strong oral communication and telephone skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment while maintaining the quality of work
- Proficient in computerized systems including Microsoft Suite
- None
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Kettering, OH practice location(rotation of Saturday hours with other front office staff)
- Home office is Englewood, OH – must be able to report to the Beavercreek or Kettering practices as needed
