Hi! We are interested in hiring a Medical Assistant at the Pediatric Center of Las Colinas. The ideal candidate would also be willing to work at our 2nd location in Grand Prairie on occasion. We are looking for someone who is extremely patient & team focused with at least 2 years of experience in a pediatric office setting helping patients and working with insurance companies.
Our office is VERY fast-paced, so we need someone who gets energized by having a lot of things going on at once. The expectation is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments.
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports.
- Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services.
- Consult patients and type up patients' charts.
- Assist during medical examinations.
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.
- Work effectively with a team.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant working with insurance companies in a pediatric clinic/hospital
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
