Special Needs Education Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to join our team as a Special Ed Paraprofessional. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance with daily tasks, such as collecting and distributing materials, and supporting students with physical and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with daily living skills, such as using the bathroom and dressing
- Help students with emotional regulation and self-control
- Support students with physical disabilities, such as mobility and feeding
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss student progress and plan for future goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- First Aid and CPR certification required
- Certification in QBS and/or Boys Town preferred
- Previous experience working with children with special needs preferred
