Medical Billing / Collections Specialist
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year of medical claims billing is required, Ophthalmology and Optometry billing experience is highly preferred
- Must understand how to interpret insurance EOBs and how to research and resolve errors and/or denials
- Must be able to answer insurance questions in regards to benefits, including copays, deductibles, etc.
- Maintain proper personal conduct and confidentiality of patient, staff and physician information
- Experience with eClinical Works EHR and Waystar clearinghouse is strongly preferred
- Must possess strong communication skills and have an ability to interact with a wide variety of persons in a positive manner
- Have exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities and time-management skills
