- Position: Pediatric Medical Escort
- Location: New Orleans, LA
- Hours: Flexible Hours | Part Time | Full Time
The Position:
- Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program.
- Assist with loading and unloading children from transport vehicles alongside a medical escort.
- Follow transportation schedules and complete all required documentation.
- Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure no belongings or children are left behind.
- Collaborate with the transport coordinator to troubleshoot transportation issues.
- Communicate with caregivers and families regarding transportation details.
- Respond to emergency situations during transport when requested.
- Maintain a positive, harmonious environment for the children and staff.
Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited vocational program for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Graduate Nurse.

Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Graduate Nurse, or Practical Nurse.

Active registration with the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Registry or Direct Service Worker (DSW) Registry, with status in good standing and without restrictions.

At least one year of documented experience providing care to infants, children, or medically fragile children, demonstrating the necessary skills and competency to meet the specific care needs of assigned children.

Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) from a recognized provider.

Minimum age of 18 years or older.
