This position involves the need to travel only in the Colorado Springs area (Northern) and Falcon area to provide respite services to families in need.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with special needs in the absence of their primary caregivers.
- Create a supportive and engaging environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of the individuals under care.
- Implement care plans and activities tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
- Foster positive relationships with individuals, families, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care team.
- Ensure the safety and security of individuals during respite care sessions.
- Document and communicate relevant information regarding each respite care session to the appropriate parties.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure continuity of care and address any emerging concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in healthcare or caregiving are a plus.
- Previous experience in providing care to individuals with special needs or disabilities.
- Ability to travel within the designated region and work flexible hours based on the needs of the individuals and families.
