- Position : Patient Service Supervisor
- Location : San Antonio, Texas
- Schedule : Full Time
In Office
Hours : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, additional hours as neededTHE POSITION : The Patient Services Supervisor provides direction and feedback to their assigned department and staff, ensuring that exceptional customer service is provided at the highest level to all customers. The position also assists their supervisor in leading the team to successfully help customers by performing routine patient services tasks as needed.
Perform department 1 : 1 meetings with assigned staffOversee the Online Ordering (as applicable)Coordinate and conduct meetings with your departmentCoordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverageAddress / follow up on all continuous quality improvements initiatives that pertain to the specific departmentParticipate in EHR development and utilization, as well as any PIG meetings that pertain to your departmentWork with supervisor to develop and implement training protocolComplete and analyze audits pertaining to your departments and make recommendations for improving processesIdentify / implement new audits that would assist with improving the overall quality / efficiency of your departmentsReview / update work instructions and policies that are specific to your departmentMonitor internal processes and assist with requests that have been problematicMeet with supervisor on a regular basis regarding needs / concerns and day-to-day operations of the departmentAssist with the day-to-day job duties of the departmentMaintain a cohesive work environment with all departments at PHSAdministrative Functions :
Document pertinent information on the patient’s recordsDemonstrate competency in identified areasAdhere to PHS policies and procedures and standards placed by other appropriate regulatory groupsMaintain compliance with HIPAA and PHS requirements regarding internal and external electronic medical record (EHR) accessSupervisory Responsibilities :
Supervise assigned staffInterview, hire, and train employeesPlan, assign, and direct workAppraise performance, reward, and discipline employeesAddress complaints and resolve problemsQualifications :
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in home health, DME, health careProficiency in basic math and the ability to interpret dataProblem-solving skills and the ability to handle diverse situationsKnowledge of order processing systems and proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing softwareStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationshipsExperience with EHR systems and other healthcare-related softwarePreferred Qualifications :
