Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual Medical Receptionist who speaks Spanish to join our healthcare team. In addition to managing front desk operations, the ideal candidate will assist with patient care by performing bloodwork and vaccinations. This role combines excellent administrative support, clinical skills, and patient interaction to create a welcoming and efficient medical office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Operations:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries, and directing calls appropriately.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments with precision.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including managing necessary forms and payments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Athenahealth or Meditech.
Clinical Support
- Perform bloodwork and vaccinations in compliance with established medical protocols.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and documentation of specimens for lab work.
- Administer vaccines, monitor patient reactions, and provide post-vaccination care instructions.
- Maintain sterility and safety standards in all clinical tasks.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Manage office supplies and ensure an organized front desk area.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- Prior experience in a medical or clinical setting, especially with administrative tasks and patient-facing roles.
- Proficiency in medical office software; experience with Athenahealth or Meditech is preferred.
- Certification or training in phlebotomy (bloodwork) and administering vaccinations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with patients and medical staff.
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and medical office best practices.

- Experience handling diverse patient needs in a fast-paced setting.
