LVN Job Description
Location: Elmendorf, TX, 78112

- Knowledge of gastrostomy button (GB) care and maintenance
- Ability to handle medical emergencies and provide basic first aid
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mon-Sun 7p-7a, shifts will be split.
The LVN will be responsible for providing nursing care to a 3-year-old female patient who is non-verbal and requires GB care. The LVN will work closely with the patient's family and healthcare team to develop and implement a care plan that meets the patient's needs. The LVN will be responsible for monitoring the patient's condition, administering medications and treatments, and providing basic first aid as needed. The LVN will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records and communicating with the patient's healthcare team as needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients, particularly those with special needs. The candidate should be compassionate, patient, and able to work well under pressure. The candidate should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and time-management skills.
