Job Summary:
The Pediatric Private Duty Nurse will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care in a private duty setting. The nurse will work closely with the patient and their family to develop and implement a care plan that meets the patient's unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a private duty setting
- Develop and implement a care plan that meets the patient's unique needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient's physician
- Monitor the patient's condition and report any changes to the physician and family
- Assist with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, and dressing
- Provide emotional support to the patient and their family
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Communicate effectively with the patient's physician, family, and other healthcare providers
Qualifications:
- Current nursing license in the state of Texas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
