Clinical Services Representative
The Clinical Services Representative is a patient-facing front desk position. Primary responsibilities include patient check-in, intake of paperwork, updating and maintenance of patient charts, eligibility verification of patient insurance, answering phone calls, sorting and distributing mail, and a variety of office administration tasks. This position is the first point of contact for patients & families arriving at our clinic. Personal attributes of the ideal candidate include excellent customer service skills, a friendly and calm demeanor, enjoys interacting with children, and an overall positive attitude.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Patient check-in: Confirming demographic information, providing paperwork if needed, scanning of insurance card and driver’s license, collecting co-pays
· Preparing all necessary documentation and paperwork for upcoming appointments
· Uploading online patient forms into EMR, updating patient charts
· Insurance eligibility verification
· Answering incoming calls, RE: general questions, confirming appointment details, other misc phone work
· Nurse message line triage
· Confirming interpreter assignments for non-English speaking patients
· Scanning patient records and other misc documents received via mail or fax into EMR.
· Sort, scan, and mail patient letters
· Sort and deliver incoming US-mail and inner-office mail
· Requesting outside medical records if needed
· Assist providers and medical assistants with various tasks as assigned
· Ordering and stocking of office and kitchen supplies as needed
· Maintaining cleanliness of waiting rooms and reception area
· Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma/GED
· Minimum one year experience in a medical clinic or other care facility
· Knowledge of medical terminology
· Proficient with technology and various computer applications including EMRs
Technology Used:
· EMR system – eClinicalWorks
· Windows Operating System
· Microsoft Office applications
· Fax/printer/scanner
· Office phone system
· Postage machine

Working Location:
· St. Paul office
· Occasional change in location may be required as staffing needs require (Minneapolis and Minnetonka offices)
· This is not a remote or hybrid position
Working Hours:
· Full time – 40 hours/week
· Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
· No weekend or evening shifts
