We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our pediatric healthcare team!
Work location: Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Federal Way. Occasional travel to other clinic locations based on staffing needs is required, as determined by the Managers or Administrators.
Schedule: Full-time, 10-hour days, variable days per week. No night, no weekends, and closed for major holidays.
Pay: $30.40-$42.00 per hour. Salary commensurate with experience.

Position Summary:
As an LPN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. This role is essential in assisting with medical procedures, administering medications, and providing health education to families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor provider schedules and prioritize patient care based on acuity, reducing wait times and maximizing clinic efficiency.
- Coordinate and administer immunizations and immunotherapy, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with the CDC immunization schedules.
- Collaborate with a clinical team (CMAs, CNAs, RNs, and providers) to ensure seamless patient care.
- Take patient medical histories, including medication dosages, frequency, allergies, and visit purpose.
- Take and record vital signs including height, weight, temperature, respirations, pulse rate, and blood pressure.
- Assist with the administration of medications as directed by provider, including higher-risk medications (e.g., ceftriaxone, Decadron, nebulized meds).
- Perform point-of-care tests such as strep, flu, urinalysis, HCG tests, and glucose tests. Analyze in-clinic test results, enter results, and communicate results to Providers.
- Maintain quality control of testing equipment and perform necessary equipment maintenance.
- Communicate test results to patients/parents according to established protocols or as delegated by Providers or RNs.
- Discuss care with patients and/or their parents and address any care-related questions or concerns in a professional, calm manner. Reinforce teachings and education provided by RNs and Providers.
- Accurately document all patient care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Monitor all schedules for patient procedures and serves as primary resource for higher risk procedures such as circumcisions, Nexplanon, and urethral straight catheterization.
- Assist clinical staff team in the preparation and clean-up of treatment rooms for clinical examinations and medical procedures.
- Assist with sterile field preparation and medical procedures under the supervision of a provider.
- Assist in the sterilization and maintenance of medical and procedural equipment, including autoclave checks. Provide education to other clinical staff on appropriate sterile field set-up and maintaining sterility.
- Prepare sharps containers for pick up by waste management according to establish protocols and state regulations.
- Ensure all patient specimens are handled safely and properly prepared for lab transport.
- Adhere to safety protocols and escalate concerns to the safety coordinator or RN.
- Assist with clinic operational tasks such as managing vaccine fridge/freezer temperatures, maintaining clinic cleanliness, stocking supplies, and checking for expired medications.
- Support the team with patient treatment tasks (e.g., wound care, splints) under provider supervision.
- Assist with managing the clinical EMR in-basket pool work, including refill requests and sending orders to providers for review.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring a positive experience and fostering a supportive environment for all team members.
- Travel to different clinic locations based on staffing needs.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma (or GED) and graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
