Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C)
Location: Tacoma, Federal Way, and Gig Harbor (Travel to all clinics required)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, Various days a week. No nights, limited Saturday hours, and closed on Sundays and major holidays. Saturday rotation required approximately once every 6-8 weeks (8 AM - 1 PM).
Pay: $24.40 - $35.01 per hour (based on experience), plus a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus paid in installments at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Pediatrics Northwest, you’ll play a critical role in the workflow of patient care. You'll gather patient information, assist with exams, and under the direction of a licensed physician or advanced practice provider, administer medications, treatments, tests, injections, and immunizations. You’ll work closely with physicians, ARNPs, RNs, patients, families, and support staff, making an impact on the care and well-being of our young patients.
This role requires a commitment to patient-centered care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with a dedicated provider or float between clinics to provide clinic support.
- Conduct patient screenings, room patients, take vitals, and document patient information in EPIC.
- Administer immunizations, refill prescriptions, and assist with phone inquiries.
- Travel between our clinics in Federal Way, Gig Harbor, and Tacoma as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, with an externship completed in a pediatric setting (preferred).
- Washington State Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C).
- Current Health Care Provider-level CPR certification.
- Proficiency in EPIC or similar EHR systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on patient care.
